An Albany police officer is issued a restraining order after being warned to stay away from Albany Police Department Spokesperson Phyllis Banks-Whitley.

Patrolman Richard Williams, Jr. was issued a one-year restraining order.  Dougherty County Police Captain Jimmy Sexton tells FOX 31 News; Williams went to Banks-Whitley's home and called her several times after he had been told to stay away from her.  Sexton says Banks-Whitley does not want anything to do with Williams.

An internal review of the incident is being conducted.
