"It's a Snap" to put hand sanitizers in Dougherty County schools
Dougherty County Schools kicked off the “It’s a Snap” campaign Monday. The program aims at keeping kids healthy so they won't miss school.
Each of the 27 schools will now have three automatic hand sanitizers to help stop the spread of germs. The school system and Network of Trust organizers say the more kids use the sanitizers, the less likely they are to get sick and miss school. The pilot program will run through May 1, and after that Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital Chief Medical Office Doug Patten says they’ll decide whether or not to put more sanitizers in schools.
Phoebe donated 81 hand sanitizers to Dougherty County Schools.
