A special seminar at Phoebe Northwest tells women they are not their disease
Women who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis were able to attend a special seminar Saturday at Phoebe Northwest.
The purpose of the seminar was to tell women that they are not their disease and to not identify themselves as just a sufferer of M.S. One of the speakers, Colette Jenkins, was diagnosed with M.S. in 1999. She was a patrolman with the Georgia State Patrol when she was diagnosed, and when she realized she couldn't carry on that line of work, she decided to reinvent herself and founded her own line of makeup called "Chosen".
There will also be a Multiple Sclerosis walk at Darton College March 28th.
