The annual MLK breakfast in Albany draws hundreds
Mount Zion Baptist Church in Albany hosted around 1,000 people for the 29th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Breakfast Monday morning.
Keynote speaker Bishop J. Nathan Paige says this year’s King Day celebration has special meaning with Tuesday’s inauguration of the first African-American President. Paige and others in the audience say King’s dream is alive and well and want everyone to come together, regardless of color or creed.
King would have turned 80 years old this year.
