Sunday was the last day for folks in Albany to enjoy the Festival of Lights at the park as well as the first ever skating rink
Sunday, Parks at Chehaw cut the lights on the annual Festival of Lights and turned off the cold for the first ever ice skating rink at the Park.
Operations Manager, Ben Kirkland says once they've looked at the numbers, they'll decide whether or not to have the skating rink next year. Kirkland says 2,500 people went ice skating at the park since it opened last month and 15,000 drove through to see their light display, which was more than they were expecting due to the economy.
The next big event for The Parks at Chehaw is the 15th annual Frontier Festival. It starts Friday and will be open until Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.
