Friday in the Oval Office, President Bush signed a Presidential Proclamation in honor of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. He also signed a proclamation to create the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument with nine sites set for Hawaii, Alaska and California. During Friday's signings, a Pearl Harbor survivor was among the president's guests.
