One man is dead and a Crisp County Firefighter is in the hospital after a fiery crash involving a fire truck and a tractor trailer.

Emergency workers and Georgia State Patrol responded to the accident Saturday morning at the intersection of U.S. highway 41 and Rockhouse Rd. in Crisp County.  Troopers say the tractor trailer driver, 33-year-old Shane Waters of Ohio, was killed when he failed to yield at a caution light and hit a fire truck.  The tractor trailer caught fire and both drivers had to be pulled from the wreckage.

The fire truck driver, 47-year-old firefighter Thomas Hauesler was taken to Macon Medical Center and is in the intensive care unit.
