The Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education has picked a Dougherty County school as one of the best in the state.
60 eduators, policy makers, and business leaders visited the International Studies Charter Elementary School Wednesday on the 16th annual GPEE bus tour. The group is visiting six schools in south Georgia that shown outstanding academic achievement. Educators say they picked the charter school because of its demanding curriculum and outstanding faculty leadership.
This is the second leg of the bus tour. At the end of October the group visited seven schools in northern Georgia.
