Special Veteran's Day celebration at the American Legion
Military Veterans young and old alike were up at the crack of dawn this morning to start Veteran's Day with a special salute.
Veterans at the American Legion Post 30 on Gillionville Road raised the flag with a trumpet solo and salute to U.S. Veterans who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Legion members say the best part of this ceremony is hearing Veterans reflect on their days in the great wars.
Over 20 million Veterans across the nation are expected to celebrate today, with over one million of them being women
