Mexico sees increase in UFO reports

Residents in northeastern Mexico are seeing a record number of UFOs, a website following the paranormal reported on Thursday.

UFODIGEST.COM said the sightings in the Mexican border State of Tamaulipas started last Wednesday but have continued through this week.

The largest number of sightings was reported in Ciudad Madero and Tampico in southern part of Tamaulipas as well as along the Texas border in Rio Bravo.

UFODIGEST.COM reported that a large group of students from a school in Tampico saw a UFO while they were outdoors celebrating United Nations Day on

The website said that Tamaulipas Civil Defense agency has received more than 50 reports from alleged witnesses.

The phenomenon even got national attention in Mexico on TV Azteca's "Hechos" news program, which aired alleged video of a UFO.
