(AP) -- SEOUL, South Korea - A South Korean newspaper is reporting that North Korean leader Kim Jong Il has been hospitalized. The article says Kim suffered a setback while recovering from a stroke. The report cites an unnamed South Korean official saying intellligence suggests there's "a serious problem" with Kim's health.
South Korea's National Intelligence Service and Unification Ministry have said they could not confirm the information. North Korea denies that Kim is ill. The 66-year-old North Korean leader reportedly suffered a stroke and underwent brain surgery in August. The latest report comes a day after Japan's prime minister said that Kim is probably in the hospital, though "not unable" to make decisions as North Korea's leader.
