Nunn solicits money for Obama
(AP) -- Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank is among the prominent Georgia business leaders who've signed on to a new letter soliciting donations for Barack Obama.
Former Georgia Sen. Sam Nunn, an Obama foreign policy adviser, is spearheading the fundraising drive as the presidential race nears the homestretch. Among those signing on are Tom Cousins, the prominent Atlanta developer, CNN founder Ted Turner and Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin. The letter asks for contributions of between $5,000 to $30,000 to the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee of Obama's campaign and the Democratic National Committee.
The Obama campaign may accept up to $2,300 and the remainder is funneled into DNC coffers.
