LEESBURG --
The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a flood warning for the Kinchafoonee Creek at Lee County for Sunday evening.

Officials say the creek at Pinewood Road is expected to reach 13 feet, which is considered minor flooding stage, Sunday evening and rise to 17.3 feet or moderate flooding by noon on Thursday.

Officials with the Lee County Emergency Management Agency asks people living along the creek to monitor the situation and use caution throughout the flood.
