ALBANY, GA --
The Dougherty County Finance Committee met with the Clerk of Courts this morning to see where they stand with this year's budget.

The Clerk of Courts is responsible for maintaining the records of all court proceedings, both civil and criminal.

They currently have a $1.1 million dollar operating budget and like they have been doing with all county departments, the finance committee  met with them to make sure they're on track to stay within that budget.

Richard Crowdis says they received a lot of good information this morning and the clerk of court seems to be on budget.

Next week, the finance committee will meet with Judge Victoria Darrisaw on the state court's budget.
