TIFT COUNTY, GA --
According to the Tifton Gazette, the Tift County School Board members are weighing a proposal that would require students to wear uniforms to school.

The Gazette reports that Tift County School Superintendent Patrick Atwater brought up the idea at this week’s work session. Atwater said uniforms would better allow officials to spot someone coming into the school that doesn’t belong there.

FOX 31 talked to Tift County residents Friday who support the idea.

Debbie Cromer has a granddaughter in a Tift County School and said if they wore uniforms the students would be more focused on what they’re actually there for, learning.
