ALBANY, GA -- St. Teresa's held their annual Nun Run Saturday morning.

They had a 5K and a 1 mile fun run. Proceeds from the run benefit the school and the retirement fund for the Adorers of the Most Precious Blood, the religious order that founded the school in 1945.

One of the coordinators of the event, Sabine Patton, says it's especially important to get children in the community involved in events like this to help prevent childhood obesity. Patton says it's important for the community to stay active and involved.
