LEE COUNTY, GA -- A house fire late Sunday leaves one family in the cold.

Lee County Fire officials responded to 120 Wiregrass Way in response to an attic fire, with the resident already safely outside.

Fire crews began fighting the flames but were met with a surprise during the process.

"Got inside found out we had two fires that we were actually fighting, when the second engine arrived my other two men on it, they took the second line in and then me and the chief rode in on the rescue truck and assisted them in firefighting operations," said Lee County Fire Captain, Todd Kirkland.

The cause of the blaze is still uncertain, and fire investigators will be investigating in the coming days.
