ALBANY, GA --
Electronics are always popular Christmas gifts -- and whether you got the newest iPhone, a new flat screen or an e-reader, Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful says it's important not to throw out your outdated technology.

Judy Bowles with KADB says although your old phone may not be "smart," it can still be quite useful if recycled to be made into something new.

"It's better for everybody because you're saving the environment and we can make other material out of it so that it's reused and remade into another material," said Bowles.

This includes laptops, phones, and even batteries used for the power drill set you got for dad.

If you'd like to recycle one of your electronics, turn it into the KADB offices located upstairs in the Dougherty County Police Department building.
