ALBANY, GA --
Albany Technical College held their job interview workshop Wednesday. The workshop invited students from the business administrative technology and law enforcement technology programs to do mock interviews with local officials in the community.

The local officials that came to interview students went over their resume with them and afterwards they critiqued their entire interview and offered tips and advice.

Some of the advice given was to be confident, practice interviewing with people you know before the actual interview, know you’re strengths and weaknesses, have good posture, and be ready to tell the employer why you would be a good asset to the company.

Elsewhere in the community, people were putting some of these tips to work.

Goodwill also held an event Wednesday called ‘Hiring Day.’ They had 16 employers come out and talk to job seekers about what they are looking for, what jobs they have to offer, and what those jobs entail. Some people were even able to fill out applications for the jobs available.

Officials from the Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office attended and talked about 7 various positions that they currently have open. They say not only are they looking for someone with a good resume and clean background check, they are looking for honest people who have good integrity.
