The FOX 31 News Team covers Southwest Georgia 24/7
The James Earl Carter Library at Georgia Southwestern State University is hosting a civil rights history exhibit that lasts through the end of February. This exhibit will contain historic documents of the Civil Rights Movement in Americus and Sumter County.
These historic documents reflect the African American campaigns for voting rights, educational opportunities and real freedom in Southwest Georgia.
