Tommy Coleman, attorney for the Dougherty County Board of Education and the Randolph County Board of Education has been elected to the Executive Board of the Georgia School Board's Attorney's Council. Coleman is a partner in the law firm of Perry and Walters.

Coleman has represented the Dougherty County School System and the Board for over 17 years. He also represents over 30 cities, counties and authorities in Southwest Georgia. He is a former President of the City Attorney’s Section of the Georgia Municipal Association. He served four terms as Mayor of the City of Albany.

Coleman was elected at the annual E. Freeman Leverett School Law Seminar conducted by the Georgia School Board Association where Coleman presented a paper entitled “Getting Along: Boards of Education and other Governmental Entities”.
