After a lengthy investigation that included multiple controlled drug transactions, the Dawson Police Department executed a search warrant Friday evening they knew would turn into a drug bust.

Police arrested Clayton Williams at 210 Pool Road in Dawson around 7:30 p.m.  Officers found 12 pieces of crack cocaine, multiple prescription narcotic pills, and drug paraphernalia.  Williams is in the Terrell County Jail and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of prescription pills, and possession with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a housing authority.

According to Investigator John Mucci, Williams has prior arrests with similar drug charges.
