ALBANY, GA -- The Darton State Lady Cavaliers have been picking up the defense since their lone loss of the year. On Saturday, facing South Crescent Tech, Darton State took it to another level.

The Lady Cavaliers held South Crescent to four total points in the second half posting a 100-15 win. The 15 total points easily set a new Darton State season mark for points allowed.

“You can't worry about the score. You want your team to get better, play hard and at the same time be respectful of the other team,” Darton State Head Coach Lea Henry said. “We challenged our kids at halftime...we were playing in about third gear…I thought in the second half we stepped it up.”

The Lady Cavaliers forced 27 turnovers as Jasmine Wilson led the team in scoring with 18 points. All-region player, Michelle Mitchell, tallied a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Cavaliers have won five straight games since a 66-62 road loss to Chattahoochee Valley Community College.

Darton State will have a challenging region match up on Wednesday. Central Georgia Tech (5-2) heads to Cavalier Arena to take on Darton State (7-1).
