ALBANY --
The Friday hearing of Dougherty County teacher Deborah Flood has been postponed after the school system found out there were prior allegations against her.

Flood, a teacher at Sylvester Road Elementary is accused of inappropriately searching a student and is currently serving a 15-day suspension.

DCSS officials say they've now found out flood was accused of hitting a student in November but never received any discipline for the action.

School officials will now take some time to add this information to their case, which Interim Superintendent Dr. David C. Mosely says should be rescheduled within the next month.
