ALBANY, GA --
The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce released Wednesday morning that the United States Chamber of Commerce has dropped their accreditation rating from "5 stars" to "3 stars."

The chamber has been under the "5 star" status since 2007, and emphasize the drop is due to new regulations within the accreditation process.

Officials also say that they are one of only 38 chambers out of over 1,400 around the country that hold a "3 star," accreditation and that they'll be looking to get back to the "5 star" rating as soon as possible.
