MCLB ceremony pulled due to sequestration

Ceremony cancelled at MCLB after sequestration hits hard. / From file

ALBANY, GA -- Officials with Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany have announced that the, "Battle Color Ceremony," scheduled for this coming Tuesday has been cancelled due to sequestration cuts.

The Department of Defense issued an order for all ceremonial vehicles to return to their places of origin and stop all events immediately.

MCLB Albany was next in line to hold the, "Battle Color Ceremony," and officials with the base are currently attempting to notify the public of the cancellation.
