Officials say no threats were made by the student
ATKINSON COUNTY, GA --
The Atkinson County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a gun was found in Atkinson Middle School today.
Officials say the student in possession of the gun made no threats to other students, teachers, or staff. Deputies say they're currently working with the student and other authorities to figure out how the gun got in the school. No word on if the student will face any charges.
Officials say parents should not be concerned and its okay for students to attend classes as normal the rest of this week.
