ALBANY -- A Saturday night auction at the Doublegate County Club raised $12,000 for local student scholarships and charity grants.
The Marine Corps Officers' Spouses' Club held the event which featured 86 items up for bid in a live and silent auction.
Club president Betsy Cisek says the money will go straight into a fund to be used for scholarships and grants and the application process for that money is now open.
Cisek says the awards are merit-based and the deadline to apply is April 5th.
