ALBANY, GA -- 54 student volunteers from the Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada have come to Albany to help lend a hand to a local Habitat for Humanity build.

Students say they try to pick a warm location each year during the winter to help out as they are active with their local Habitat for Humanity.

Wilfrid Laurier University student and Habitat for Humanity memeber, Khurram Soomro said, "It's been amazing, everybody has been so hospitable, the food has been phenomenal, you guys are spoiling us with the food, and honestly you guys are the definition of southern hospitality."

Despite the rain pushing the build inside Tuesday, the build is expected to wrap on Thursday.
