ALBANY, GA --

At approximately 12:03 p.m. the Albany Fire Department received a call about a structure fire on Duitman Road in Albany.

When fire fighters arrived on scene, there were several neighbors using a garden hose in an attempt to put out the flames. Officials say the fire was pretty much out by the time they got there.

Battalion Chief Kelly Harcrow said no one was home at the time of the incident. Harcrow believes the fire was caused by something in the trashcan. He also said all of the damage was exterior and damages are believed to be around $1,000.
