The month of February will be all about the heart at Phoebe Putney Health System.

In an effort to promote heart health, the hospital, along with partners like the American Heart Association, Firehouse Subs, Kohl's and local churches, has planned an entire month of events in celebration of National Heart Month.

Heart screenings, health fairs and other events will be taking place across Southwest Georgia to remind the community to "Love Your Heart."

Many organizations are coming together to help keep people informed about maintaining a healthy heart.

Phoebe Community Benefits set up at the Albany Mall Thursday afternoon to provide blood pressure screenings and heart health information.

Thought Network of Trust, the Dougherty County School System, Phoebe Sumter and Phoebe Dorminy are also offering blood pressure screenings.

As part of a long-time partnership, Phoebe Community Visions has donated $20,000 to the American Heart Association in their efforts to promote heart health.
