ALBANY, GA -- Police and fire officials are saying stay indoors, and only drive when necessary in these severe weather conditions.

For local businesses though, that can be a tough piece of advice to agree with.

From gas stations to restaurants, businesses see a dip in customers when the weather turns sour. Woodall's employee, Cindy Harris, says people are more concerned with staying inside, instead of getting out on the roads.

"We see less customers because people like to stay at home and stay dry, relax and enjoy the day," said Harris.

Other businesses around the area agreed that weather can hurt profits, and they're looking forward to the rain letting up.
