ALBANY, GA --
In a press conference Monday morning, Quail Unlimited President, Bill Bowles, officially announced that the non-profit conservation group would officially disband and regroup as Quail Albany.

The 31-year-old organization has reportedly been consumed by debt the last several years, stemming from its early years in South Carolina.

In a statement Monday morning, Bowles, said that although it is sad to shut the book on Quail Unlimited, a new chapter in quail conservation is opening in Albany because of it. Quail Albany will work as a subsidiary of "Quail Forever," an organization that boasts 135,000 members nationwide.

"Quail Forever" branches off "Pheasants Forever" which works for conservation efforts across the entire United States.

Bowles also announced that he will be accepting a new position with "Quail Forever," as South Eastern Regional Director.

Bowles also claims that everyone involved with the 2013 Quail Celebrity Hunt in Albany has been paid in full. Two companies who worked with the group this year say they are paid in full or in the process of being paid in full.
