ALBANY, GA --
With the temperatures already rising in southwest Georgia, pollen has started accumulating on cars. This early sign of spring might also indicate an earlier than expected allergy season.

According to Erin Cannington with the Allergy and Asthma Clinic in Albany, allergies start to act up the most in late winter or early spring. She confirmed that since we are already seeing pollen, people might start having side effects of allergies sooner than usual.

Cannington said if you are feeling some of the symptoms of allergies, the best home remedy to treat them is a saline or salt water rinse.
