ALBANY, GA --
The Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau held a hospitality meeting Thursday afternoon to discuss ways of enhancing community awareness and support for tourism with representatives from local hotels, attractions, and restaurants.

Some of the things they discussed were attraction days, trade shows, the Family Reunion Workshop, and the Rock, Roll and Run Weekend.

One of those goals of this meeting was for the Visitor's Bureau to find more ways and opportunities to reach out to businesses in the community and get them involved in attracting tourism.

Courtney Spencer with the Albany Convention and Visitor's Bureau said tourism is the 2nd largest source of income for the state which is why promoting tourism is so important.
