DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA --
A man is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest after more than $14,000 worth of items were stolen from his home in Stonebridge on January 15th.

Jonathan Connell told authorities he left his house at around 5:30 PM and came back at 7 PM to find seven rifles, including some assault rifles, and his laptop missing from his home.

Officials say there is no sign of forced entry in the home and due to the quick burglary, they believe it is someone who know Connell, a former marine and avid gun collector.

Connell says that the items weren't in plain view and nothing else was disturbed. He believes that it was someone who had been inside his home before and knew the layout.

Connell says he feels violated and is working to install more security around his home. Connell adds he offered the reward to help quickly catch the burglar to ensure the safety of his children.

Dougherty County Police officials say it's important to get to the bottom of this case and find out who took the missing items because having seven rifles in unknown hands is a serious issue.

If you have any information on this case, you are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 229-436-TIPS or the Dougherty County Police Department at 430-6600.
