Georgia Power offers rebate for heat pump purchases

Georgia Power says that their customers can receive a $400 rebate for 15 SEER, or a $200 rebate for 13-14.9 SEER heat pumps as long as the equipment is installed by August 31st. / File

ATLANTA, GA -- Georgia Power officials are offering a new deal for customers that are looking to purchase a heat pump.

Officials with Georgia Power say that the company is offering two rebates based on the seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER) rating of the heat pump. The SEER rating measures the effiecieny of the unit with a higher seer rating meaning that the heat pump is more efficient when using energy.

Georgia Power says that their customers can receive a $400 rebate for 15 SEER, or a $200 rebate for 13-14.9 SEER heat pumps as long as the equipment is installed by August 31st.
