ALBANY, GA -- Officials with Dougherty County dispatch have confirmed that a school bus and pedestrian were involved in an accident in the 2400 block of Sylvester Road around 2:30 PM Wednesday.

According to information from the Albany Police Department, 20-year-old bus driver Terrance Howard was on Cordele Road attempting to turn left to travel eastbound on Sylvester Road.




Officials say that 57-year-old Dianne Taylor crossed two lanes of traffic heading west parallel to Sylvester Road and walked in front of the bus.

Albany police say that it was not clear if she was struck, but that EMS was dispatched to the scene and no injuries have been reported.

No charges have been filed in the case and no children were riding the bus at the time of the incident.
