DAWSON, GA --
The abrupt end to the Dawson city council meeting Tuesday left a lot of people upset.

Citizens gathered outside of city hall to hear whether or not City Manager Barney Parnacott would resign.

The mixed crowed of Parnacott supporters and opposers felt slighted after the meeting adjourned without announcing a decision, which city attorney, Tommy Coleman said was well within their rights.

"They don't have to announce anything about what happens in the executive session, apparently they did not," said Coleman.

The next city council meeting is planned for Thursday night at 7:00pm.
