A Christmas Eve domestic dispute ends with murder

SYLVESTER, GA --
A Christmas Eve domestic dispute leaves a man dead in Sylvester.

The Worth County Sheriff’s Office tells us shortly before midnight, December 24th, 52-year-old Janie Mae Tweedy shot and killed her husband, 57-year-old Carl Andrew Tweedy, at their home at 962 Pearson Road in Sylvester.

Tweedy, who reportedly called 911 after pulling the trigger, is in custody, and is being charged with the murder of her husband.

The body of Carl Tweedy has been sent out for completely autopsy, and we’ll bring you more on this story as it becomes available.
