ALBANY, GA --
The Board of Executives at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital met today to go over regulations for accepting new physicians, and screening those already working at the hospital.

From their education, to how patients view them, Phoebe's board members spent the day making sure their screening process is thorough and reveals just how solid their medical team really is.

"You want to ensure that physicians that join the staff of this hospital, have the proper training through medical school and residency, and two is that they've been practicing at a location, they've had good results, and have good patient response in their previous community," said Executive Vice President, Joe Austin.

Board members say these regulations, although tedious, are one of the most important issues they cover to ensure patient satisfaction, and safety.
