ALBANY, GA -- Monday mornings in the future may bring a different kind of commute to school for parents throughout the nation.

With the country still in a state of shock from the shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, we asked local Albany parents whether they're ready to send their kids off to school.

"I wouldn't be afraid to send my child to school, cause my basis is prayer. But I would be more observant, when I took my child to school, and I probably would visit the school more often," said Albany mother, Neferteri Bey.

"Parents walking their kids to school, and probably staying the whole day at school. I know if that tragedy happened here, me and my wife would be taking them to school," said Albany father, Dean Odell.
