ALBANY, GA --
Dougherty County Elementary School Students experienced what it feels like to be a published artist at the Elementary Art Exhibit that opened on Tuesday.

189 pieces of work ranging from traditional drawings to 3D creations are displayed at the Carnegie Library in honor of the top artists from the 16 elementary schools in the county.

10 students were chosen for their drawings and others for their 3D pieces to represent their school.

Lead Art Teacher Barbi Fisher says art is one of the most important things for critical thinking and problem solving for these students.

Each artist was given an Artistic Achievement Award for being chosen and will have their work displayed until January 4th.
