ALBANY, GA -- Albany Technical College recognized their students who will be graduating with honors.

Around 120 students, with a 3.5 GPA or higher were invited to a special ceremony held Tuesday, to recognize their academic achievements.

22-year-old Dawson Mayor Elect Chris Wright was among the group of students.

No matter what their future holds, the students we spoke with are excited about graduation.

"I'm thankful to be here today, and to finally get a chance to graduate, it's awesome," said Cassandra McMiller.

Tangela Lorissaint said, "I feel excited, I'm ecstatic about it, and this is a great opportunity and a great day for me."

Albany Technical College graduation is Friday night.
