ALBANY, GA. --

In FOX 31's Facebook story of the day people want to know what next year holds for downtown Albany in 2013.

Officials say several ongoing projects will carry over into the new year.

Crews are currently working on transforming the streetscape of Pine Avenue.

The Albany-Dougherty Inner City Authority is also placing signs and streetlights in the Old Northside neighborhood.

One of the biggest projects designated for next year is turning the old Albany Theater into a living space full of lofts.

“The second week of January we're going to have a State of the Downtown meeting. So basically that's going to provide an opportunity for the public to come out and kind of get an update on what's happened in the first two years since I been here and then also get the playbook for the next three years,” said Aaron Blair, Albany Downtown Manager

Blair says he will continue to work with private agencies to revive downtown Albany in the next year.
