ALBANY, GA --
The Salvation Army held a charity golf tournament today at River Pointe Country Club, Sunday, with the goal of raising money for "Toys for Tots."

The program was put together originally by the Marine Corps and has become a staple for multiple charity organizations throughout the country.

Those participating said the event went extremely well, and its something they enjoy doing year round. Tournament rules had teams of two playing on a points system, similar to the PGA Tour, and systems used by professionals.
