ALBANY, GA --
Interim Doughtery County Library Director Mary Antoine addressed the Dougherty County Board of Commissioners Monday morning regarding the renovations of the Downtown Dougherty County Library location.

The facility will close later this month to begin a 7-9 month renovation funded through SPLOST VI money.

A temporary facility will be opened across the street next to the Subway restaurant, however resources will be limited.

Library staff will be moved into the second floor of the government center until the renovation is complete.

Antoine assured the board and the public that all other locations will be stocked with any and all resources the temporary facility may not have.
