ALBANY, GA --
Gas prices continue to tumble as motorists begin to prepare for Thanksgiving travel.

AAA reports that although the price of gas is on a downward trend and a gallon of gas is cheaper than the same period last year, the cost for a barrel of oil increased slightly to $84.90 this month from $82.60 in October according to a Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan report.

"Although oil prices inched up slightly, retail gas prices are expected to fall throughout the month," said AAA spokeswoman Jessica Brady of the Auto Club Group. "Pump prices continue to look more attractive to travelers who plan to take a Thanksgiving road trip this year."
