ALBANY, GA. --

A civilian marine with the Albany Marine Corps Logistics Base is happy to be back on American soil and home with his family.

Willie Shiloh arrived in Albany Friday afternoon after a 14 month deployment in Afghanistan.

The 59-year-old was stationed at Camp Leatherneck as a heavy mobile equipment mechanic weight leader.

He says although he's back home, he wouldn't hesitate taking another tour in Afghanistan.

“It wasn't too bad; it just depends on the individual. Everyone has their own method about how it feels being away. It's my first time deploying as a civilian marine but I have deployed before in the military,” said Willie Shiloh.

Shiloh says the best part about returning home is getting to see his family.
