Albany Mayor Dorothy Hubbard is bringing leaders from outside of southwest Georgia to help local leaders understand more about economic development.

Albany leaders joined in a forum to hear the senior advisor from the Georgia Economic Development Commission speak.

Charlie Gatlin went over different strategies that our local Economic Development Commission can use to draw major corporations to this area.

“If you can meet their needs, they understand that there are negatives in every community and so I try to tell people don't get hung up on the negative so much. Talk about the positives,” said Charlie Gatlin, Senior Advisor for the Georgia Economic Development Commission.

Gatlin says in order to bring business to the area, local leaders have to be on the same page and informed.
